Fascia Replacement in Edenbridge

Replacement fascia boards along the roofline, fitted by trusted colleagues.

Coordinated service. This work is carried out by trusted professional colleagues from Rob's network, not by the One Stop Build team directly. Rob is your point of contact and can coordinate it with any other work on your property.

Fascias are the boards fixed along the ends of the rafters, where the gutters are attached. When timber fascias rot, gutters can sag and water can reach the roof timbers.

One Stop Build & Landscaping coordinates fascia replacement through roofline specialists Rob works with, usually alongside soffits and guttering.

How coordinated work is delivered

This service is carried out by trusted professional colleagues from Rob's network rather than by the One Stop Build team directly. Rob is your first point of contact: he discusses what you need, introduces the right specialist and can coordinate their visit around any building or landscaping work he is doing for you.

Quotations, product guarantees and any certification are provided by the specialist who carries out the work. Ask them for details before you go ahead.

Signs fascias need attention

  • Flaking paint and soft or rotten timber
  • Sagging or leaking gutters
  • Water staining on walls below the roofline
  • Gaps where birds or pests can get in

Access and safety

Roofline work is carried out at height. The installer will arrange suitable access such as scaffold or towers depending on the height and layout of the property. Ask about access arrangements when you receive their quotation.

Fascias questions

Do you replace fascias yourselves?

No. Fascias are replaced by roofline specialists in Rob's network. Rob coordinates the introduction and timing.

What are fascia boards?

Boards fixed to the rafter ends along the roof edge. They support the bottom row of tiles and carry the guttering.

Should fascias be replaced or capped?

Capping covers existing boards and only suits sound timber. Rotten boards should be replaced. The installer can advise after inspection.

What material are new fascias made from?

Most replacements are uPVC, which does not need painting. Ask the installer about available colours and finishes.

Do fascias need planning permission?

Like-for-like replacement usually does not, but listed buildings and conservation areas may have restrictions.

Will my roof need to be disturbed?

The bottom tiles or felt may need adjusting. The installer will explain what is involved for your roof.

Can soffits and gutters be done at the same time?

Yes, and it usually makes sense, as access equipment is already in place.

Who provides the guarantee?

The roofline installer provides any guarantee on materials and workmanship.

Do birds nest behind fascias?

Gaps in old fascias and soffits can allow birds in. Nesting birds are protected, so work may need to be timed outside the nesting season if nests are present.

How do I start?

Send photos of the roofline and your postcode through the form.
